We are proud to announce that Thomas Jacobson and Derek Trosvig have again been selected to the 2026 Minnesota Super Lawyers list, and Katelyn Spangrud has been selected to the 2026 Rising Stars List.
This marks Tom’s eleventh consecutive Super Lawyers selection, Derek’s seventh consecutive Super Lawyers selection, and Katelyn’s third consecutive Rising Stars Selection.
About
Super Lawyers uses a multi-phase selection process that combines peer nominations and evaluations with independent research into professional achievement. Candidates are evaluated using 12 indicators, including experience, results, honors, professional activity, community service, scholarly work, and other outstanding accomplishments.
Only 5% of attorneys in Minnesota are selected to the Super Lawyers list each year. The Rising Stars list recognizes attorneys who are either age 40 or younger or have practiced for 10 years or less, with no more than 2.5% of eligible Minnesota attorneys receiving distinction.
