Swenson Lervick is happy to have helped bring the Minnesota Supreme Court to Alexandria. The Court was in town on October 4 and 5 as a part of its outreach program designed to not only give students a close look at how the Court works but also to give them a chance to observe the oral arguments in a real case (State of Minnesota v. Heinonen).
One of Swenson Lervick’s attorneys, Heidi Schultz, worked with the committee that brought the Court to town. Heidi and two other Swenson Lervick attorneys, Tom Jacobson and Greg Donahue, spoke to groups of Alexandria Area High School students to help prepare them for the Court’s visit. The firm also provided financial support to help students attend the Court’s community dinner.
As Heidi noted, this was a “once in a lifetime event,” and “We’re very honored that they would choose to come here.”
