Legal Assistant to Thomas A. Jacobson

Amy grew up in Alexandria and graduated from Jefferson Senior High School in 2000. During her senior year of high school, through the post-secondary education option, she attended Alexandria Technical College and graduated in 2001 with an AAS degree in Legal Administration. While completing her degree, Amy interned as the receptionist for Swenson Lervick and officially joined the firm full-time in May, 2001. Amy is the primary legal assistant to Tom Jacobson working in employment law, municipal law, personal injury, construction disputes and creditor’s remedies. She also assists Mike Cass in the areas of estate planning and probate. Amy loves that the work she and the firm do for people have real impacts on their clients’ lives and that there is never a dull moment in the wonderful world of law.

Amy and her husband, Josh, reside in Alexandria along with their three daughters. Amy enjoys spending time with family and friends; attending her daughters’ dance competitions, softball games, and band events; working at the Alexandria Blizzard Hockey concession stand; and gardening. She also volunteers her time and talents at church and with the Alexandria Marching Band.
